Profile
Chiba Fumi branch
Born in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture in 1981. After graduating from Musashino Art University graduate school, he presented his works mainly in Tokyo. U-turn after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. Currently, he has opened his own art space, mado-beya, in the corner of the artist run space "Kiwamari-so in Ishinomaki". While creating sculptures using the technique of making the reliefs stand on their own, in 2019 he resumed the maintenance of his parents' house, which was damaged by the tsunami, and has developed the documentary photographs as the "Sea and Serow" series.
